Sung worship is an important part of church in a gathered setting. Whilst we do sing a hymn or two, most of the songs are contemporary drawing from Noel Richards, Matt Redman, Delirious?, Jarrod Cooper, Tim Hughes, Leeland etc.
Sam Harding
Sam is currently heading up and coordinating worship at Engage.
“I’m passionate about seeing the kingdom of God breakthrough in Church and our community and believe worshiping him together, going deeper, being transformed in his presence and understanding his heart is a great place to start. I’m very excited to see how he will move here in the next few months and its a privilege to be involved in pushing things forward. Currently we are meeting on the first and third Friday of the month in the Reeves Room Church Halls from 7:30 till 9pm. The evening is dedicated to worship and prayer.”
Sam has completed 2 years of Pioneers discipleship course DNA and moved to Leatherhead in September 2011. He has just released a new album “My Everything” which will be available at Engage and online at christianbits.com.
Join us one Sunday and you could find a guitarist leading without any other musical backing. On another you may find half a dozen musicians combining their talents to help us praise God and worship Him. A range of worship leaders and occasional guests do a great job. We encourage the use of sung worship with children and youth as well as Engage @ Home and it features strongly at our larger Leatherhead Theatre events.
