Meet our leadership team!
Gerald & Anona Coates
Gerald & Anona Coates are the team leaders for Pioneer Engage Church. Gerald founded the Pioneer Network of Churches in the UK and overseas and is a well known author, speaker and broadcaster. He recently started his 10th book 'Legacy - what will you leave behind?' Anona is a speaker and author. She published her autobiography 'I wish I was,' and her passion is evangelism. They have three grown up sons and are proud grandparents of two children.
Dave & Renay Banko
Dave & Renay Banko are missionaries from the USA and have been with the church since February 2007. Dave serves as a trustee, treasurer, and coordinator for Leatherhead Life, while Renay leads the Kidstuff children's ministry. They have a heart for the kingdom and building bridges with other churches, Christian organizations, government and civic organizations. Dave is a certified project management professional working for a global financial software firm while Renay works for a local supermarket. They have four children.
Steven Bond
Steven is excited to be part of the one Church (that's a capital C!) in Leatherhead but Engage has been his primary gathering point since he moved to Surrey in early 2007. He is passionate about generations working together for the revival of the area and tranformation on all levels. He wants to live his life based on Micah 6v8 - read it and let him know if you think he's doing okay.
Simon Elgar
Simon has been a member at Engage since August 2008 and is passionate to see unity within the broader church. He is keen to explore the depths of God and how the Kingdom of God will invade the local community. Also a keen musician Simon plays a key role in the worship music. Professionally, Simon is a web developer and works on various other charitable projects.
Vince & Sue Hudson
Vince & Sue Hudson were led to 'Engage' and have been involved in a number of events including the Christmas show and Leatherhead Life. They have a servant's heart willing to pitch in wherever needed. Vince is a musician, music producer & sound engineer. Sue is a singer, dancer and actress. They have 1 child.
Sarah Coleman
Sarah Coleman has a heart for ministering to women and is leading a women's cell group. She bases her life on the first commandment from which all else flows! She's also a certified nurse working a local hospital.
Advisors
John Noble
John Noble, together with his wife Christine, lead 'spiritconnect', a network of churches within Pioneer. He was chair of the National Charismatic Leaders Conference for 24 years and travels in ministry internationally and in the UK. He has written several books, the most recent being 'The Shaking'. He has a passion to see Christians from all streams and denominations working together locally and in mission.
Paul Williams
Paul Williams is an entrepreneur and investor who owns and runs several companies in the business services, technology and entertainment areas. He is also a trustee of Catch 22 one of the UK's largest young people's charities. Paul is married with 2 children and lives in an extended family.
